Hi, my name is Emily Drisdelle! I am a graduate student in psychology at York University. My research is based out of the Leadership, Competition, and Collaboration Lab under the supervision of Dr. Joey Cheng.

Generally, I am interested in competition, social hierarchy, dominance, nonverbal signaling, and evolutionary theory. My current work considers women in leadership, including the power and cooperation dynamics between women leaders and their subordinates. Ultimately, I seek to understand what makes an effective leader, to gain insight into the unique challenges women in leadership face, and strategies to overcome these hurdles.
